Lecture by Prof. Raj Somadewa (part 2)

The part 2 of the lecture titled “Foreign influences in the Art and Architecture of the Cultural Triangle” by Prof Raj Somadewa was held on 25th of July 2023 at the auditorium of SLINTGL. We appreciate and thank Prof Somadewa for all enriching and invaluable archaeological inputs at this session.

We also thank all the National Guides who participated in the lecture and SLINTGL Director Trainings Mr Don Anil Munasinghe for his untiring effort to make this event a success. RUSSO Cricket Cup 2023

On Saturday, June 17,2023, the Russo Cricket Cup ll – 2023 was grandiosely completed at the Gatambe stadium Kandy.

The tournament was organized by the Russian wing of SLINTGL , The Russian speaking tourist Guide Association (RUSSO), with the generous sponsorship from the country’s leading commercial organizations in the tourism industry.

This tournament was peculiar because it featured a a match between teams made up entirely of full-time employees from business with connection to the nation’s tourism industry.

The tournament showcased 17 teams, with Ishini gems and Jewelers (Pvt)Ltd emerging as the Russo Cup ll tournament champions. Royal Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and Exotic Holidays International (Pvt) Ltd came in second and third place, respectively.

SLINTGL PROGRAM ON BIRDS


A three day program titled an ‘Introduction to Birds and Interpretation ‘was organised by the Lanka Institute of National Tour Guide Lecturers in collaboration with the Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka from 12th till 14th June 2023. The study and field work was led by bird and bio- diversity expert Prof. Sarath Kotagama and included lectures, bird sighting, identification and observations in Diyasaru Wetlands as well as practical usage of field equipment. The certified program was enriching to all National Tour Guides who participated in this intense course.
